　Mijin:What exactly is a virus?

　Peter:Viruses are self-contained programs that get onto your system with the intent of damaging your PC and maybe moving to other PC’s to do the same.

　Mijin:How do they get on your system usually?

　Peter:They can get on your system via email links or attachments, downloaded files, CDs, DVDs, floppies, and even just because you are on the Internet.

　Mijin:Why do people make viruses?

　Peter:No one can really know the mind of a hacker, but possible reasons are: the challenge, the notoriety with other hackers, and for the ‘fun’ of it.

　미진:정확히 바이러스가 뭐야?

　피터:바이러스는 독립적인 프로그램으로 유저 PC에 손상을 입힐 의도로 유저 컴퓨터에 침입하는데 같은 목적으로 다른 PC들로도 이동하지.

　미진:보통 어떻게 컴퓨터에 침입하지?

　피터:e메일에 딸려온 링크나 첨부파일, 다운로드된 파일, CD, DVD, 플로피 디스크 등을 통해 침입할 수 있고 심지어 인터넷 접속만으로 침입할 수 있지.

　미진:왜 사람들은 바이러스를 만드는 거야?

　피터:해커의 꿍꿍이를 어떻게 알겠냐만 가능한 이유를 들자면 도전의식, 해커들 사이의 명성, 그리고 그냥 재미로 하는 것이겠지.
