Chan: Susan, did you hear about the controversy surrounding some 120 students who applied to Harvard Business School?

Susan: That they hacked into a website to find out whether they’d been accepted?

Chan: Yes, the website receives and manages university applications. Harvard is just one of about 300 schools that uses the site to deal with applicants.

Susan: I guess the hacking eliminates their chances of ever being accepted.

Chan: That’s what the dean of the business school has said. They’re calling it unethical behavior.

Susan: Well, it is. Computer hacking is a crime.
