Professor: So, our exam will cover chapters one through 15.

Jenny: One through 15? Isn`t that too much, Sir? I mean, it`s easy, but there are too many formulas to memorize!

Professor: But remember, I have taught the simple ways of memorizing, too!

Jenny: Right, but five days just don`t seem enough!

Professor: It should be a piece of cake!

Jenny: I hope you are right! I guess I should cancel my plans for tonight!

Professor: 시험은 1과에서 15과까지 공부하면 됩니다.

Jenny: 1과부터 15요? 너무 많은 거 아닌가요? 내용은 쉽지만 그래도 외워야 하는 공식이 너무 많은걸요!

Professor: 간단하게 외우는 방법도 가르쳐 줬으니 괜찮을 거야!

Jenny: 네… 근데 5일밖에 안 남았는데…

Professor: 누워서 떡 먹기지 뭐!

Jenny: 네… 그러길 바래요. 오늘 저녁 약속은 취소해야 겠네요!

우리가 흔히 말하는 `누워서 떡 먹기`, 영어에도 똑 같은 뜻을 지닌 문구가 있습니다. 바로 a piece of cake이지요! 주어진 프로젝트가 너무 쉬워서 단숨에 끝내셨다 구요? 그럼 이렇게 한번 따라 해 보세요: "It was a piece of cake!"
