　US fitness equipment company Powergrid is out to whisk Xbox, Playstation and PC game players into shape with a new device called the Kilowatt controller. It’s a shoulder-height joystick that forces the player to use their muscles to play the game.

　Designed to be a workout, the Kilowatt will make a player sweat and burn calories.

　In a car racing game, for example, a player must push forward on the life-size controller to make the car go faster and pull the joystick back with the body to slow the car down.

　Powergrid is targeting people in their late 20s who play games and people in their early 30s who normally buy exercise equipment. The Kilowatt will be available in the spring and will cost $695, less than what the company says a good treadmill costs.

　파워그리드사는 게임을 즐기는 20대 후반과 대개는 운동기구를 구입하는 30대 초반을 겨냥하고 있다. 이 킬로와트는 올 봄부터 시장에 선보이며, 가격은 695달러로, 이 회사에서는 성능 좋은 러닝머신 한대보다 더 저렴한 가격이라고 한다.
