Chan: Susan, do you think you`d use technology that would allow you to access your home computer from your cell phone?

Susan: Hmm, what kind of access are we talking about?

Chan: Toshiba is releasing technology known as the ‘Ubiquitous Viewer’, which, after connecting the phone remotely with your computer, will allow you to open and edit files and access e-mail.

Susan: Sounds convenient, if you need to take care of something unexpectedly.

Chan: Sure. Even though Toshiba is making it commercially available, though, some techies have already been using it.

Susan: It’s just hasn’t developed into a standard practice yet.

찬: 수잔, 만약 휴대폰으로 가정용 컴퓨터에 접속하게 해주는 기술이 있다면 사용하겠니?

수잔: 음, 어떤 종류의 접속을 말하는 거야?

찬: 도시바에서 ‘유비쿼터스 뷰어’라는 기술을 선보였는데, 전화로 원거리상에 있는 자기 컴퓨터에 접속한 후 파일을 열고, 편집하고 이메일도 확인할 수 있게 해준대.

수잔: 편리하겠는걸, 갑자기 뭔가 처리할 일이 있을 경우에 말이야.

찬: 응. 이 기술을 상용화한 건 도시바이지만, 일부 기술자들은 이 기술을 이미 사용해 왔대.

수잔: 그럼 이전에는 표준화되지 않았던 거로군.
