　More than 600 million people worldwide currently use Internet services. The only problem is, the Internet’s storage capacity and vulnerability to viruses are an inconvenience and a financial burden to users.

　A group of 100 computer scientists are determined to reform the Internet. PlanetLab have created a new technology, which promises to vastly increase the Internet`s processing power and storage capability.

　Eventually you won’t have to carry around a laptop to recreate your personal workspace. You’ll be able to archive all your files on the Internet itself, securely, and then access them from any Internet terminal. You will also be able to instantly retrieve video and other data without having to wait or compete with other users on-line.

　현재 전세계적으로 6억 이상이 인터넷 서비스를 이용하고 있다. 한 가지 문제가 있다면, 인터넷의 저장 용량과 바이러스에 대한 취약성으로 사용자들이 불편과 경제적인 부담을 겪고 있다는 점이다. 이에 100명으로 구성된 컴퓨터 과학자 그룹이 인터넷을 개혁하려 하고 있다. PlanetLab은 인터넷의 처리능력과 저장용량을 획기적으로 증대 시켜줄 것으로 기대되는 신기술을 고안해 냈다. 이 기술로 여러분들은 마침내는 같은 작업 환경을 재현해 내기 위해 노트북을 들고 다니지 않아도 될 것이다. 모든 파일들을 인터넷 상에서 안전하게 저장해 두고, 어떠한 단말기에서건 여러분들의 파일들을 불러 올 수 있게 될 것이다. 또한 비디오나 다른 데이터 역시 기다리거나 온라인 상에 있는 다른 사용자들과 경쟁하는 일 없이 바로 받을 수 있게 될 것이다.
