　Microsoft has issued another security alert for numerous versions of its PC and server operating systems about a flaw similar to one reported in July, causing experts to express grave doubts about the effectiveness of the company’s new efforts to secure its software. Microsoft rated the severity of the flaws to ‘critical’ and urged organizations and individuals to apply the patch-which was posted yesterday-immediately.

　The new alert affects Microsoft Windows NT Workstation 4.0, Windows NT Server 4.0, Windows NT Server 4.0(Terminal Server Edition), Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003.

　Given that the most recently identified problem closely resembles the Remote Procedure Call flaw reported in July and exploited by the Blaster worm, industry experts are beginning to wonder about the effectiveness of Microsoft’s security initiatives.

　새로운 경보는 마이크로소프트 윈도 NT 워크스테이션 4.0과 윈도 NT 서버 4.0, 윈도 NT 서버 4.0(터미널 서버 에디션), 윈도 2000, 윈도 XP, 그리고 윈도 서버 2003에 영향을 준다.

　최근에 밝혀진 결함이 지난 7월에 블래스터 웜의 공격을 받은 원격 프로시저 호출 결함과 비슷하다는 점으로 미루어, 업계 전문가들은 마이크로소프트의 보안 정책의 효과에 대해 의심하기 시작했다.
