　인터넷과 e메일이 보편화되기 이전에는 외국의 다른 회사와 제휴하는 것은 말할 것도 없거니와 국내의 다른 회사와 연계하는 것조차 무척 번거로운 일이었다. 편지를 보낸 뒤 전화를 하고는 또 직접 만나서 몇차례에 걸쳐서 장기간 면담을 하고 나서야 제휴 성사 여부가 결정되는 것이었다. 하지만 지금은 e메일로 의도를 전하고 관심이 있으면 그 회사의 홈페이지를 통해 회사의 현황을 검토한 뒤에 결정하면 되는 간단한 일이 되었다. 그만큼 업무는 단순해지면서 업무의 영역은 넓어지고 있는 것이다.
