　Ex-Enron CEO Jeffrey Skilling saying he couldn’t remember details of a key meeting because ‘the room was dark’ has qualified as the dumbest moment in American business, in the annual list of gaffes and faux pas from the April 2002 issue of Business 2.0 magazine.

　Blunders cataloged in the report come from a wide range of sources, including media organizations, technology firms, tobacco companies, retail businesses, consumer-products manufacturers, e-businesses, fast-food chains, and many others- including the magazine itself. Its editors listed as number 11 their decision to put Mr. Skilling on the cover of the August/September 2001 issue ‘as a positive symbol of the digital revolution’.
